Your documents stay on your device.
Image decoding, document detection, crop correction, enhancement, HEIC conversion, and PDF generation run in your browser. The scanner has no upload endpoint and does not send document contents to a server.
What the website downloads
Your browser downloads the website’s HTML, styles, JavaScript, and any required processing engines. OpenCV and HEIC conversion code are served with the website. These downloads contain program code, not your documents.
What is kept
Selected images, edit settings, previews, and your prepared PDF are held for the current tab session. Downloading does not clear them: you can continue editing or download again. Use “Clear & start again” to remove the session. Refreshing, closing the tab, or the browser reclaiming the page clears the session. Downloaded PDFs remain wherever you save them.
No document drafts or tracking
This version does not store documents in localStorage, IndexedDB, or a cloud account. It contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts. Browser or operating system memory management is outside this website’s control.
Hosting requests
Visiting a website necessarily makes requests for its code and assets. A hosting provider can receive routine connection information such as your IP address and browser request headers. This is separate from document processing; images are not included in those requests.
Your source files
The scanner does not overwrite files on your device. Exported PDF pages contain rendered images rather than source photo attachments. Always check the output before sharing it.
